We are what we don´t see. I´m interested to know why you chose that quote and what it means to you. It reminds me of Carl Jung. If we share the same interpretation, you may want to read so more about him. He theorizes that personality traits are manifestation of subconscious imbalance. That we act out in ways that attempt to balance our inner state. bb
I chose that quote because in the very beginning, I heard it in a song that I really liked, and I never paid attention to its’ lyrics, but once I actually thought about the sentence “we are what we don’t see” I realized how deep it was and how much it meant. I thought that it had a really true meaning deep inside. For me, it seems very true that sometimes some people are something in the outside, and we really don’t see how they really are in the inside, and that’s how I interpreted in the very beginning. After reading your post, I researched about Carl Jung, and I agree that the sentence can somehow relate to him because of his physiological studies about conscious and subconscious, but I do think that the sentence has a deeper meaning.
